Dear Andy, thank you for this message. The evening before Amsterdam Dionne Warwick was on stage in Aachen (Aix la Chapelle, Aken), and we loved her highly professional and warm performance very much although she did not seem to like (the city? the organizer?) too much. It was just great to see her.

Oude Kirk is the church in the last J Irving book Bill read (and I read years ago- Until I Find You, or something like that). He confirmed when we got home. So cool to see it in real life.

Fred’s right about subtitles. I used to read the Dutch subtitles on English-language films at the cinema or TV programmes, even though I understood the soundtrack perfectly well. There’s just something about subtitles.

Good you are feeling more motivated, and don’t give up on Summer yet, been really warm the last couple of days. It’s not officially over until the 21st of September!
